Ahamadiyya Muslim community to hold the largest annual gathering in the country

President of the United Republic of Tanzania Dr. John  Pombe Magufuli is expected to be the guest of honor at the 50th meeting of the Ahmadiyya Muslim Community with the aim of providing an opportunity to reflect on the country's spiritual, social and economic development.

Speaking to reporters today in Dar es Salaam Head of Tanzania Tanzania Sheikh Tahir Mahmood Chaudhry Amir and General Prosecutor, said the conference proclaims the "IBADA" slogan which means social prosperity will make sense by turning to him and worshiping him. sincerely Allah.

"This year's Jalsa Salana has a special significance as it is the Half-Century Jalsa Salana in line with the 85 years since the Ahmadiyya Muslim Community was officially registered in the country" said Sheikh Mahmood.

In addition, he said that in addition to providing spiritual services the Community also provides social assistance to the health, education and extraction of water wells in water scarce areas of the country, including Shinyanga and Simiyu regions.

Sheikh Mahmood added that the Community emphasizes the existence of peace and harmony among believers of various religions and serves all people regardless of their religious beliefs under the popular slogan "Love for all Hatred for None".

He has however called on the public to participate in the summit which will include approximately 6000 participants from all regions in the country as well as from abroad including Kenya, Uganda, Burundi, Malawi, Mozambique and Pakistan.

For his part, the Assistant Secretary-General Abdulrahman Mohamed, said that the Ahmadiyya Community has been at the forefront of promoting Swahili language around the world and was the first to translate the Holy Quran into Swahili.

He also said the community has been agreet contribution in condemning the practices and practices that harass women within communities that are not in line with the teachings of the religion.
