The Ahmadiyya Muslim Community of Tanzania has said that it expects to have a general meeting of the year known as Jalsa salana 54 on 26 September 2025 in its famous Ahmadiyya area located in Kitonga, Msongola Ilala Dar es Salaam City.
Reading the community's statement in a press conference, Secretary of Internal Affairs Jamaat of the Ahmadiya Muslim Community of Tanzania Yahya Yusuf - , said that the meeting is held every year and this year.
The theme of this year's conference is 'Islam and Human Rights', aiming to remind believers to respect and uphold all human rights in accordance with the teachings of the Holy Quran, Sunna, and the teachings (Hadithi ) of the Prophet Muhammad (peace be upon him).
It is stated that all believers and participants will have the opportunity to listen to all the speeches and guidance from community experts, where among the topics to be discussed are; The perspective of the Prophet Muhammad (peace be upon him) on human rights; Islamic teachings in caring for orphans, widows, and parents particularly in their old age; The rights of children, close relatives, the poor, travelers, prisoners, the sick, and neighbors.
He said the procedure for holding Jalsa salana, the annual meeting was started by the honorable founder of the Ahmadiyya Muslim Community Hadhrat Mirza Ghulam Ahmad a.s himself with the aim of giving believers the opportunity to promote brotherhood, good understanding and common understanding among them.
More than 6000 people from different parts of the country are expected to attend this year's 54 Jalsa.
On his part, Amir Head and Missionary Incharge Seikh Khawaja Muzaffar Ahmad said the purpose of this meeting is to strengthen integrity, strengthen charity and help relatives and fulfill human rights.
He added that this meeting should not be taken like other meetings but should be taken seriously and not as others are now taking Islam because it brings extremism and terrorism, this is not true.
The Islamic religion is a religion of peace and it strongly encourages the fulfillment of human rights and if this right is fulfilled, justice is built.
