Defensive driving training is concluded with significant benefits

Drivers who have received Defensive driving training have been required to make changes by putting into practice what they have been taught.

Speaking to the drivers at an event organized by AAT & FIA to certify the graduates, Dar es Salaam Zone Traffic Commander  ACP Nuru Seleman, said that if the driver found himself on the road and found someone else careless, he should protect him.

"The road safety team has great faith in you drivers because they are good stakeholders, for the course you have been trained will surely reach your colleagues in your companies who have not been able to attend this training," he said.

He said if the training is used properly it will help prevent and reduce accidents and they will be able to provide first aid such as firefighting or servicing passengers or himself getting injured in accidents, as many drivers will receive this training many accidents will be avoided and consequences will be minimal.

Seleman, has called on various companies to see the importance of enabling drivers, their employees to attend such training when it is offered and has asked the AAT to organize other such training as more drivers receive training on continental accidents will reduce.

"There are various sources of accidents, poor infrastructure, poor vehicle performance, the main reason is human error ie the driver's fault for lack of self-defense skills or negligence, this training will help reduce human error on the road" he said

For his part, AAT President Nizar Jivan, urged drivers to inspect their vehicles before they start driving to check the water, Tires and Tires, while congratulating the sponsors of the training as they have successfully completed the training.

"A person's life is very important. If you die, the whole family will have problems"he said

AAT CEO Yusuf Ghor, in a statement on the training, said that in the Defensive Driving training, they have trained 985 drivers even though the project was training 600 drivers but there were many training applications, they have trained companies like UDART 250 drivers, Ambulance 85 Load haulage 507 36 schools and one driver.  one another 100 have also been trained to drive Police 64 traffic free.  and 5 others have been trained to drive Motorcycles through AAT Driving School.
