AAT concludes training for bodaboda riders ,Bodaboda are requested to obey road safety rules

Boda boda Chairman Ilala District, (CMPD) Philipo Mtoro,   has asked the Police Force Road Safety Unit to work with the party to integrate all Boda Boda into a data center and have a special uniform with identification numbers.
The request was made  during the training closing for Boda Boda  Riders  organized by Auto mobile Associatin Tanzania and FIA , sponsored by the dairy company ASAS.

He said Boda Boda also requested to have a special sticker that will show the motorcycle or bajaji areas where the parking is located , and also be given IDs to identify Boda boda or a regular motorcycle user.

For his part, of  Dar es salaam Zonal Traffic Officer , ACP Abdi Issango, urged the graduates to adhere to the training they have received and follow the rules of road safety and to insist on wearing hard hats to reduce accidents.

He also called on  to change their behavior, stop over speed, change their mind and attitude, stop engaging in acts of vandalism to identify and cooperate with the Police Force to identify robbers and provide information.
"I urge all unlicensed  riders to cancel their licenses immediately as operating an unlicensed firearm is a violation of the laws of the Country.

However, he accepted Boda Boda's request and promised to process all their requests to improve performance and prevent accidents and saving lives.

The AAT vice President  Justine Ng'wandu said the training is important and they are very grateful to the traffic Police education unit for always assisting in various training project undertaken by AAT.

Mr  Ghor said,  AAT  have discussed with ASAS Mr Faraji who is also a  Temeke  District  road safety Chairman  to continue similar training under the banner of ASAS and  Auto mobile Association Tanzania with the assistance  of traffic Police  Education Unity under Zonal Traffic Police  Office in order  further fatalities and for  riders to acquire official license after passing  exams.

Lastly  request the Police  to advise motorist who lacks road sign knoledge which  can join driving school of their  choice  for driver's and Riders refresher course.
