ORYX ENERGIES EXPRESSED TO CONTINUE SUPPORTING ARC RALLY.

 The Automobile Association of  Tanzania (AAT) says the  Oryx Energies   Tanzania  Motor  rally will be launched  at Southern Sun Hotel in Dar es Salaam on  Friday 31  August  2018.
The press Conferece  was officially done  in the presence of the event’s and  main sponsors  Oryx  Energies Tanzania represented by Managing  Director  Sophonie Babo and  vice president of  Association  of  Tanzania   Gautam Chavda  and   his chief  Executive officer  Yusuf  Ghor.

 Also during the event,the General Manager   Michael  Phillipson of  Southern Sun Hotel’s was attended .

 The rally, which will be in its fifth  round,   will  count   for  the  both  the continental and National championship s(ARC). It will be staged in Bagamoyo for two days from 1st September.

 However, The rally will be preceded by a ceremonial start a day  earlier in Dar es Salaam.

The Minister for Information Culture, Arts and Sports  Hon Harrison Mwakyembe said   to be confirmed  as a chief guest during the flagging-off ceremony at the Southern Sun Hotel.

         A total of  23  drivers   including 4 from Kenya , 3 Uganda and  4 Zambia  ,1 from Oman  and 12  they are from Tanzania  they   have  confirmed to compete in the rally which  expected to cover  Coast Region areas of  Ubena , Lugoba and Bagamoyo.
The rally starting point will be at Bagamoyo on the opening leg scheduled for Saturday first  in September  and will end  up in Highland.

“The next morning the rally will restart at Lugoba and end up at Bagamoyo,  and award  presentation ceremony  will be held  at the Travelers Lodge” says  Satinder.
         The event’s coordinator Satinder Birdi  said efforts have been made to maintain and improve measure in close cooperation with Traffic Police and other AAT-appointed marshals.

 AAT Vice  president  Gautan Chavda, said the message of awareness has already reached to the spectators in all areas where rally cars will be passing,and used the opportunity to announce all Drivers toregistre early as possible before  the event 29th August.

The cars will be thoroughly scrutinized on August  31  in Mikochen  examine  and as certain whether they comply with  FIA safety requirements.

Birdi  said so far the Chalinze and Bagamoyo terrains will still be kept in use as the other route involving Kisarawe hilly  areas are not easily accessible due to congestion at the Tazara  crossing where a fly-over is  under construction.

 In a related development, the  new Oryx Managing Director Babo expressed intention of a continued to  support for the event in the next year’s edition. He said his firm is still committed to back  the ARC rally  while urging, customers to use Oryx Energies products on sale.

 Besides principal sponsors Oryx Energies Tanzania, other firms  that  have stepped up to support the event as co-sponsors are  Knight support, Southern Sun ,Ubena Highland Estate.

 Others are MajiPoa , Dar City Promotion, U-Track, Radio Wave, MM  Signs Ltd, Nissan Tanzania.

The National Traffic  Commander  Representative Mr Swai , insist  that  the organizers  must provide  educations  to all  I’dwells around  roads that  cars will pass during the competition.
